NOTICE OF ADMENDMENT TO JHA SECTION 8 ADMINISTRATIVE PLAN
The Jackson Housing Authority is announcing an amendment to their current Section 8 Administrative Plan effective after the 30 day comment period has expired to include the Department of Housing and Urban Development language and the Jackson Housing Authority’s procedure on cerifying live in aides as a part of Reasonable Accommodation.
This notice will be put out for comment beginning Wednesday, August 19, 2015 and ending at 5 p.m. Friday, September 18, 2015.
Comments concerning the proposed amendment clarifying the Authority’s procedure on certifying live in aides as a part of Reasonable Accommodation according to Federal Regulations 24 CFR 5.403, 5.609(c)(5), 24 CFR 982.606(b)(2), 982.316, 24 CFR 960.204, and 24 CFR 982.553; PIH Notice 2010-51, 2010-26, and HUD Live In Aide Fact Sheet 2003 are to be sent to the Jackson Housing Authority, ATTN: Rental Assistance Department, P.O. Box 3188, Jackson, TN 38303 or emailed to HCV@jacksonha.com no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, September 18, 2015.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Jackson Housing Authority will hold a public hearing at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 16, 2015, at 125 Preston Street, Jackson, to obtain public comments regarding the PHA Five-Year and Annual Plan.
Jackson Housing Authority offices will be closed for the following holidays:

Jackson Housing Authority (JHA) was organized and chartered in 1939 pursuant to the Housing Authorities Law of Tennessee. JHA is a public non-profit corporation which provides low-rent public housing, Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher (HCV), and the Community Development programs as its primary activities. JHA is governed by a five-member Board of Commissioners appointed by the Mayor to staggered five-year terms. The Executive Director serves as Secretary to the Board and has the responsibility for the administration of the agency, pursuant to Board policy.
