SHELTER PLUS CARE RENTAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Shelter Plus Care is funded by the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and is a grant developed specifically to provide housing assistance to the disabled homeless population. Access to the program is provided by Pathways and Quinco, and they will make referrals for individuals in need of housing assistance and supportive services. Shelter Plus Care is designed to provide housing and supportive services on a long-term basis for homeless persons with disabilities. The program reaches those with serious mental illnesses, chronic substance abuse problems, or AIDS victims who are not financially able to provide suitable housing for themselves and their families.
